Hello my name is Desiree Padilla and I am honored to be the Colorado regional Director for the Saint Nicholas Christmas foundation. When looking to give back to the community I chose the Saint Nicholas Christmas foundation because it is directed to help those specifically living in assisted living facilities without visitors and or income. I myself was raised by my grandfather Corsinio Pando, and looked after through his last days. This involved watching him go into an assisted living facility and then to hospice. Neither of which of which were the plans he had hoped for. Giving him the best living experience in those last years was my only goal. Seeing others in the same facilities unable to buy the basic creature comforts we all take for granted, and experience so many lonely days and holidays broke my heart. When my grandfather passed I knew helping the generations before us experience life and love in their last years was of the upmost importance. The Saint Nicholas Christmas foundation has given me the opportunity to touch those lives on a grander scale and I could have done alone.

Thank you for having us. I started Saint Nicholas Christmas Foundation in 2014 among family and friends. Helping a modest amount of kids have a better christmas. Today it has grown across the country helping both children in hospitals and assisted living facility residents in multiple states across the country.
